Hey guys!!! I’ve got a really fun, easy and cute diy project this week. I always by this tissue box that you’ll find anywhere in Nigeria sold by any street hawker and used widely by most car owners. I have always thought that the boxes they come in do not fit my room decor as they come in different colours so I decided to cover the tissue box with the marble contact paper I had just lying around to fit into my room decor. The outcome of my diy marble tissue box was pleasing – that fulfillment you get when you make something cute!

Lets get right to the diy!

What you will need:

  • Marble contact paper
  • Pen or Pencil
  • Tissue box
  • Scissors
  • Ruler (optional)

How to:

  1. Open the flaps on one side of the tissue box so the box can be reused. remove the tissue ply and set aside. Place the box on the contact paper and trace all sides of the box on the contact paper.

2. Cut out the shape leaving out extra space around the traced out shape on the contact paper.

3. Peel off the liner exposing the adhesive that allows you to stick it on any surface and wrap the box with the contact paper. Avoid air bubbles and smooth out the contact paper as you stick the contact paper to the box.

4. Once you’ve covered the box in contact paper, cut an opening on on side of the flaps (this allows you to reuse the box) and place the tissue ply inside the box and close

5. Cut an opening to pull out tissue ply at the top of the box. Pull out tissue ply to make sure you placed them properly.

I hope you like this post and try it out! How cute is this diy marble tissue box? Is this something you would make? What do you guys think about this diy?
